Aetna Global Benefits (AGB) Medical/Rx Drug Plan
Your AGB medical plan allows you to obtain healthcare services anywhere in the world, without referral. Deductibles are low and most services are covered at 90% once deductible is met. Prescription drugs are also included in the plan and can be sent to any work location through a comprehensive mail order program.
Aetna Global Benefits (AGB) Dental Plan
Diagnostic and preventative services are covered at 100% and the deductible is waived. Basic services are covered at 80% after the deductible. Major services are covered at 50% after the deductible.
Aetna Global Benefits (AGB) Vision Plan
Benefits for exams, lenses and frames are once every 24 months. The exam is covered at 100% after your deductible is met. The lenses and frames have combined benefit maximum of $100 every 24 months.
Aetna Global Benefits International Employee Assistance Program (IEAP)
Aetna’s IEAP provides confidential counseling and referral resources to employees and their families dealing with such diverse issues as the social and cultural adjustment to an international assignment, marital distress, substance abuse, work related concerns, personal growth and development, as well as dealing with feelings of isolation that may come from living in a new environment.

Aetna Global World Traveler
Services range from phone worldwide medical and dental referrals and travel assistance services to full-scale medical evacuation and repatriation services through a global network of credentialed air ambulances providers. So, if you lose your medication in Burundi, need to see a doctor in Indonesia, or, in a more serious circumstance, have malaria symptoms, we strongly encourage you to reach out immediately to WORLD TRAVELER.
Paid Time Off
Heartland is proud to offer this generous paid-time-off benefit package. The summary below shows the total for a first-year employee. Paid time off is a benefit offered to eligible employees who work at least 20 hours per week.

Eligible employees accrue vacation after 90 days of service. Vacation days accrued are pro-rated for part-time employees based on their full-time equivalent.
- Vacation days roll over to 200 hours and can be taken in increments of 2 hours.
Personal Business and Floating Holidays
- Employees have a total of six days a year total – (except new hires who begin working after Sept. 30th);
- Personal days and Floating Holiday are accrued on a quarterly basis;
- Days not taken by the end of the calendar year in which they are earned are forfeited.
Holiday Pay
International employees on the US payroll are eligible for the same number of paid holidays as US-based employees. To keep the accrual process simple, the holidays are accrued according to this US-based calendar. These days may be taken off on locally celebrated holidays or at other times, as arranged on a country level, approved by your direct manager or the Country Director.
Sick Pay
Eligible employees will accrue sick pay benefits at the rate of 15 days per year (1.25 days for every full month of service). Sick pay benefits are calculated on the 12-month period based on the employee’s start date.
R&R/Annual Leave
Employees are eligible for either annual leave, in non-hardship locations, or quarterly R&R, in Hardship locations. Annual leave or R&R do not roll over.
